بررسی انتقادی راهکار کریستوفر فرانکلین در حلّ صورت‌بندی‌های مبتنی بر اطمینان و عقب‌گرد از «معضل بخت»‏

چکیده
مسئلۀ اساسی این پژوهش، بررسی راه‌حلِّ کریستوفر فرانکلین در برابر صورت‌بندی‌های مبتنی بر اطمینان و عقب‌گرد از معضل بخت و هدف از آن، نقد راه‌حلِّ مذکور و نشان دادنِ ناکارآمدیِ پاسخ فرانکلین به روش توصیفی_تحلیلی است. بر اساسِ معضلِ بخت، نفیِ تعیّن‌گروی در پیدایشِ یک کنشْ به بخت می‌انجامد و لازمۀ آن، نفیِ ارادۀ آزاد است. فرانکلین که از حامیان اختیارگرویِ علّیتِ مبتنی بر رویداد است، از این معضلْ چهار صورت‌بندی ارائه می‌دهد. نفیِ تعیّن‌گروی در صورت‌بندی‌ِ مبتنی بر اطمینان، منجر به عدمِ اطمینان از پیدایشِ یک کنش و بر اساسِ صورت‌بندیِ مبتنی بر عقب‌گرد، منجر به عدمِ پیش‌بینیِ وقوعِ یک کنشْ در صورت عقب‌گرد به لحظۀ وقوعِ آن می‌شود. پاسخِ فرانکلین مبتنی بر تشخیصِ محلِّ قرارگیریِ مناسبِ ناتعیّن‌گرویْ در فرایندِ منجر به کنش آزاد است. وی پس از نقدِ «تقریرِ کنشِ غیرپایه‌ محورِ» رابرت کِین، به تقریرِ دیدگاهِ خویش به نامِ «تقریرِ کنشِ پایه‌ محور» می‌پردازد. از نظرِ وی با قراردادن ناتعیّن‌گروی در لحظۀ وقوعِ کنش پایه، دو صورت‌بندیِ مذکور از معضل بخت قابلِ حل است. طبق این تقریر، دلایل کنشگر، از جمله باورها، امیال و عواطفِ او به‌نحو ناتعیّن‌گروانه سببِ کنش آزادِ کنشگر می‌شوند و ناتعیّن‌گروی در مرتبۀ علّیتِ دلایلْ نسبت به کنش پایه بروز می‌کند. در این پژوهش آشکار می‌شود راه حلِّ فرانکلین در حلِّ معضل بخت راهگشا نیست. علّیتِ ناتعیّن‌گروانۀ دلایل کنشگر نسبت به کنش آزاد، که هستۀ مرکزی دیدگاه فرانکلین محسوب می‌شود، دقیقاً همان نقطه‌ای است که منجر به تصادفی بودن کنش آزاد می‌گردد و در نتیجه، معضل بخت همچنان به قوّتِ خود باقی می‌ماند.

A Critical Review of Christopher Franklin’s Solution in Ensurance and Rollback Formulation of the “Problem of Luck”

چکیده English

The main issue of this research is to examine Christopher Franklin's solution to Ensurance and Rollback formulation of Luck, and its purpose is to criticize this solution and show the ineffectiveness of his answer in a descriptive-analytical way. According to the problem of luck, the negation of determinism in the creation of an action leads to luck, and its requirement is the negation of free will. Franklin, who is one of the supporters of event-based causation, offers four formulations of this problem. Negation of determinism in Ensurance formulation leads to unguaranteed action and in the Rollback formulation, leads to the failure to predict the occurrence of an action at the moment of its occurrence. Franklin's answer is based on recognizing the proper location of indeterminism in the process leading to free action. According to him, by placing indeterminism at the moment of the basic action, the two formulations of luck can be solved. According to this interpretation, the agent's reasons, including his desires, goals and emotions, are the cause of free action. In this research, it is revealed that the indeterministic causality of the agent's reasons for free action, which is considered the central core of Franklin's view, is exactly where it leads to the randomness of free action, and as a result, the problem of luck remains valid.
