It was Avicenna, who, for the first time, paid more attention to this subject and was responsible for its extended discussion. Among the issues to which he addresses is the one on trilogical denotations (implicit, implied, and metaphorical). Implicit denotation, to which the logicians were more concerned, in that it denotes some meaning different from its original referent, was similar to some kinds of metaphorical denotations, and this similarity leads to some misconceptions in differentiating between the two denotations, metaphorical and implied. In this research we have shown that metaphorical denotation differs from implicit and implied ones in three respects: first, in implicit and implied denotation, the denotation is the result of coining words, but in metaphorical one, it is through some evidence. Second, in differentiating between real and metaphorical meaning we do not need “evident mutual implication in its restricted meaning” (bayyen bi al- ma’na al-akhas). Third, there are not any mutual implications between metaphorical meaning and real meaning, but both implicit and implied meanings imply the real meaning.}, keywords = {Implicit denotation,Implied denotation,Metaphorical denotation,Trilogical denotations (al-dalalat al-thalath)}, title_fa = {معیارهای تمایز دلالت تضمنی و التزامی از مجازِ در لفظ}, abstract_fa = {بحث دلالت‌های ثلاث از مباحثی است که به تبع تحول در جایگاه مباحث الفاظ در منطق سینوی پدیدار شد. ابن‌سینا برای نخستین بار اعتنای بیشتری به مباحث الفاظ نموده و از جمله مباحثی که وی بدان می‌پردازد، دلالت‌های سه‌گانۀ الفاظ (تطابقی، تضمنی، و التزامی) است. در این میان دلالت التزامی بیش از دو دلالت دیگر مورد توجه منطق‌دانان بوده است. این دلالت از آن جهت که بر معنایی خارج از معنای موضوع له دلالت می‌کند، مشابه برخی از دلالت‌های مجازی بوده و همین مشابهت باعث خلط در تفکیک این دو حیطه از هم می‌گردد. در این پژوهش، تفاوت حیطۀ استعمال (دلالت تصوری و تصدیقی)، عدم احتیاج به تلازم بَیّن بالمعنی الاخص بین معنای مجاز و حقیقی و عدم استلزام معنای مجاز نسبت به حقیقی، به عنوان سه وجه تمایز دلالت التزامی و تضمنی از مجاز، به شیوه‌ای تحلیلی ـ توصیفی تبیین گردیده است که به‌وسیلۀ آن‌ها، مصادیق دلالت‌های سه‌گانه و مجازِ در لفظ، به صورت کاملاً آشکار قابل تفکیک و شناسایی باشند.}, keywords_fa = {Implicit denotation,Implied denotation,Metaphorical denotation,Trilogical denotations (al-dalalat al-thalath)}, url = {https://jitp.ut.ac.ir/article_54703.html}, eprint = {https://jitp.ut.ac.ir/article_54703_7aaceab6688e52076bac7605ecaba896.pdf} }
